Arrivals

  • Half-Day Morning Hunts: Arrive at 7:45 a.m. for breakfast
  • Half-Day Afternoon Hunts: Arrive at Noon for lunch
  • Half-Day Afternoon Hunts (no lunch): 1:30 p.m.
  • Dinner Arrival: 6 p.m.

Departures

  • After breakfast: 8:30 a.m. (have things packed in car)
  • After lunch: 1 p.m. (leave the property)
  • After morning hunt (no lunch): 11:30 a.m.
  • After afternoon hunt (no dinner): 5:30 p.m.
  • After dinner guest: Depart at your leisure

The Lodge is closed on Sundays. Parties may check in but will not have food provided. We will be glad to pick up groceries and have them ready for you for an additional. fee.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your date. The final 50% is due 90 days prior to your hunt date. Reservations after Oct. 1 require full payment at booking. If you cancel your hunt for any reason, there will be no refunds unless a replacement group can be found for your hunt dates. The Covey Point staff will do its best to assist you in finding a replacement group and will be happy to reschedule your hunt if an equal replacement booking can be found. We suggest lining up alternate hunters for last minute replacements to the party. Covey Point guests enjoy exclusive use of the lodge. It is necessary that we follow our cancellation policy since a cancelled hunt means a total loss of revenue and expenses for the Lodge for your hunt date.

Inclement Weather Policy

Hunts cancelled by the hunter for weather reasons are non-refundable and will not be rescheduled. Day-long heavy rain in Lower Alabama is rare during the fall and winter, and hunts may be rearranged to hunt around the weather. Severe weather is another issue altogether. If it’s neither safe nor enjoyable, Covey Point won’t hunt in those conditions. In the event Covey Point cancels a hunt, they will reschedule within the same hunting season (October-March) or the following October, based on availability.

Deposit, Refund Policy & Releases

  • A release will be required to be signed by Covey Point.
  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. 
  • Spots are not guaranteed without the deposit.
  • Trips booked within 90 days of hunt require full payment up front.
  • Remaining balances will be billed 120 days prior to hunt, with   payment required 90 days before departure.

Gratuity Guidelines

A minimum 15% of your hunt cost is recommended to be divided among Covey Point staff as gratuity. The final decision is always up to you!

After booking

  • We will invoice you for 50% of the total cost. Payment is required within 10 days to reserve your spot.
  • Make your travel arrangements. International guests, please check your passport and visa requirements.
  • We’ll send you a detailed clothing and equipment list to help you plan.
  • You will receive an invoice for the final amount due 120 days out from your trip. It is due 90 days before your hunt.
  • We will send you “final countdown” info prior to your trip with emergency numbers, directions, tipping suggestions and other    pert inent last-minute instructions.
  • Covey Point staff will contact you just prior to your trip to be sure you’re all set!

  • If you must remain connected, AT&T and Verizon cellular coverage is spotty. Wi-Fi is available at Covey Point Lodge.
